i am along with the "school" that its not how you do it, its what you do.
as in, say, daniel johnson, completely of topic.
he's insane, untalented, and cant sing in the true sense of the word, but
god do i enjoy sitting down and listenting to him.
same for sebadoh, smog, erics trip.
when it comes to musicians, these people are not(at least in the beggining,
you can get good at anything if you devote enough time)
i can t say anything about electronic music, and the way its constructed,
because i simply do not have enough patience to fiddle with buttons and
computer programs long enough to compose a song
give me an 8 track that i can play along to anytime
that doesnt mean its good, or that i know what im talking about, but at
least i think i have the right to say "i know what i like"
what im trying to say is
if you make something pleasant to listen to, then what the hell does it
matter whether you spent 6 minutes on the thing or 6 months, it will still
be judged the same way("damn, this is good":)
slap me with a dead fish if you think it'll help the situation
